Sarasota, FL – Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery, Inc. is thrilled to announce the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the recent completion of the “No Wrong Door Walk-In Center” on Thursday, October 24, 2024. The event will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with special access to our Legacy Donors beginning at 12:30 PM.
The newly renovated “No Wrong Door Walk-In Center” represents a significant milestone in Lightshare’s mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and accessible behavioral wellness and recovery services to individuals in Sarasota and beyond. This facility will serve as a critical resource for individuals seeking help, offering a seamless, welcoming entry point to a broad range of behavioral health services, 24/7, to include clinical, case management, psychiatric services and many other wrap-around services.
The ceremony will feature remarks from Lightshare leadership, including President/CEO Shawny Robey, who will highlight the impact of the renovation on the local community and the organization’s ongoing commitment to breaking down barriers to care. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new center, meet with staff, and learn more about the essential services provided, including intake, crisis stabilization, and mobile response.
Legacy Donors will enjoy premier access starting at 12:30 PM, with a presentation and private viewing of the facility, refreshments, and a chance to review architectural designs and models of the ongoing medical detox project. The special reception is open to our Legacy Donors and special guests.
The “No Wrong Door Walk-In Center” is part of Lightshare’s initiative to enhance its service delivery infrastructure. With the generous support of the Barancik Foundation, William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, state and county representatives and other donors, the completion of Phase 2 marks a significant step forward. The upcoming medical detox will focus on the construction of the “No Wrong Door Detox Center,” a $4 million project expected to break ground in 2025.
