Family Intervention Services (FIS)

Designed to assist adults who have DCF involvement or have lost custody of their children, due to substance abuse issues.

Designed to assist adults who have DCF involvement or have lost custody of their children, due to substance abuse issues. The program consists of a team of four (4) FIS Specialists, that support clients in completing case plan tasks. Linkage to services such as anger management, parenting education, domestic violence, substance abuse, MAT, mental health treatment or residential are included.

Eligibility Requirements: Parents who have lost or are at risk of losing children due to substance abuse and meet diagnostic criteria for chemical dependency and are referred by the Department of Children and Safe Children Coalition in Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
Program Length: 12-16 weeks
